Mix your coloured paint with white to create a range of pastel colours.
Progressively add more white to the colour to make the paint lighter.
Select a colour and paint one bead completely.
Use Washi Tape to ‘mask’ some beads before painting.
‘Masking’ the beads means that the area of the wood covered by the tape will be protected from paint.
Allow all of your beads to dry completely.
Apply a second coat of paint to all the beads if required. Allow to dry.
Peel off the tape to reveal the unpainted parts of your beads – looks fantastic!!
Thread your finished beads onto the waxed cotton string.
Tie your necklace up using a ‘fisherman’s knot – starting by tying one side.

Finish your necklace with the ‘fisherman’s knot on the second side. Your necklace in now length adjustable.
